IDPhotoStudio supports several standard sizes for ID images, with pre-configured templates for the United States, Canada, and France. Basic Photo Adjustments

IDPhotoStudio provides fundamental color transformation options with filters for grayscale and sepia. However, the editing capabilities do not include cropping, red-eye removal, brightness or contrast adjustment, or resizing to fit specific face positioning guidelines. Users should ensure their photo is already well-prepared before importing it into the program.

Performance and Output

The program is lightweight and runs smoothly even on older hardware. Printing is direct and the process is quick, supporting most Windows-compatible printers. However, IDPhotoStudio does not display a print preview or advanced layout options—what is shown on the main window is what will be printed. Additionally, the software does not automatically adjust the aspect ratio of images, which may sometimes result in stretching or squashing if the input photo does not already match the required proportions.

Limitations and Use Cases

IDPhotoStudio is best suited for users who already have a well-composed photo and need rapid, no-nonsense printing in a passport or ID format. Its streamlined approach sacrifices advanced editing features, so those needing to retouch or correct photos must do so in another program beforehand. The lack of undo functionality also means users need to reload their image for each new edit or effect change.
